YOUR PRIORITIES
We asked community members what is most needed in our community. We received 968 responses at 19 community events, and on-line.
- Most important issues for our community: support for unhoused neighbours, housing for all, protecting greenspaces, food security, sustainability, and climate action.
- Most most needed to be a good community to live in: community building (a connected, caring community with community events, activities & spaces), meeting basic needs, nature, caring for one another, and climate action & sustainability.

CANDIDATE PLEDGES
Sixteen local community organizations have asked candidates for Mayor and Council to commit to meaningful, impactful, and do-able candidate pledges on community priorities: housing and supports, climate action, food security, transportation options, support for community-led initiatives, Truth and Reconciliation, and protecting land and water. MAYORAL TOWN HALL
SAVE THE DATE: Your City Your Voice Mayoral Town Hall, Monday, October 5th from 7-9pm at the Sudbury Indie Cinema Co-op (162 Mackenzie Street). This event will also be livestreamed on Facebook.

Your voice matters - inform your vote
Voting begins October 16, and the municipal election is October 26, 2026.

Candidate town halls & debates
- Mayoral candidates forum on Saturday September 19th 1:30PM at the Parkside Older Adult Centre (Durham Street, downtown). All candidates for the position of Mayor are invited to attend. Hosted by the Sudbury Chapter of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP).
- Ward 2: An all-candidates night for the ward will take place at the T.M. Davies Community Centre’s Michael Vagnini Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 23. The event is being hosted by the Walden CAN and the Walden Seniors and Pensioners Inc.
- All candidates: An informal networking event without candidate speeches or debates will take place on Oct. 1 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the 363 Car and Social Club (63 York St.). The event is being hosted by the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Sudbury Real Estate Board and the Downtown BIA. All registered municipal candidates have been invited to attend.
