The Drinking Water Source Protection Program works to prevent the contamination of our municipal drinking water sources in the Greater Sudbury area including Ramsey Lake, the Vermilion River, the Wahnapitae River and 24 municipal wells.
The Plan was approved by the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change in September 2014 and has been in effect since April 1, 2015.Read more
Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt is a grassroots neighbourhood stewardship group. The group was formed in 2006 to protect the Roxborough Greenbelt, 3 hectares of urban forest, adjoining Junction Creek near downtown Sudbury, from imminent development. This goal was realized in 2009, when it became a public natural park. The group now focuses on stewardship and neighbourhood activities.Read more
