Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt

Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt is a grassroots neighbourhood stewardship group.  The group was formed in 2006 to protect the Roxborough Greenbelt, 3 hectares of urban forest, adjoining Junction Creek near downtown Sudbury, from imminent development. This goal was realized in 2009, when it became a public natural park.  The group now focuses on stewardship and neighbourhood activities.

Junction Creek Stewardship Committee

Junction Creek Stewardship Committee is a not-for-profit, grassroots group guided by a volunteer board, whose main focus is the restoration of Junction Creek.

Sudbury Naturalists Club

The Sudbury Naturalists Club is a grassroots, volunteer groups focusing on knowledge of local water resources and wildlife, landscaping, revitalization of natural environment.

Sudbury Ornithological Society

The Sudbury Ornithological Society is a non-profit, volunteer group.  

Their purpose is to enhance and encourage the pursuit of bird observation and study.
