Junction Creek Stewardship Committee is a not-for-profit, grassroots group guided by a volunteer board, whose main focus is the restoration of Junction Creek.
Their purpose is:
To restore all life to the Junction Creek ecosystem: native wildlife, insect and plant life, and to improve the quality of life for humans as well.
They co-ordinate citizen participation in environmental restoration and awareness activities to:
-Re-green lands adjacent to the creek;
-Reduce soil erosion;
-Promote awareness of the creek, its wildlife, and its threats;
-Improve water quality;
-Conduct research aimed at better understanding the Junction Creek watershed and at helping inform restoration activities.
